Every family has its Christmas traditions. In fact, some of the best ones have been around for centuries. Take the plum pudding; for many, it’s a Christmas essential. Not only that, but it dates back to the Victorian era and was a firm favourite of Charles Dickens. For example, on Stir Up Sunday, each family member stirred the mixture from east to west to bring the family luck in the coming year.

Similarly, for the JW Lees family, our Christmas traditions start with the return each festive season of our Plum Pudding Ale. As a result, our locals have come to expect it year after year.
